Why teach with Unifix Cubes?

Unifix Cubes are colorful interlocking cubes that give children the tactile, concrete experiences they need as they are beginning to count and learn basic operations. In this two-hour course you will learn how Unifix Cubes can be used to reinforce key concepts:

• The Counting Sequence

• Anchoring to Ten

• Place Value

• Single- and Multi-Digit Computation

The course combines videos and activities using hands-on or virtual manipulatives. In addition, free activities are included that you can use right away!

Dr. Sue Looney is the founder of Looney Math Consulting and Same But Different Math. She is passionate about making math joyful for all learners, and is especially interested in early childhood mathematics. She has worked as a teacher, a district director, and as an adjunct professor of early childhood mathematics at Boston University.
